Nothing gets in the way of seeing the positive, productive side of life than negativity. It clouds your thoughts and distracts you, and discourages you to do some meaningful work.

Of course it’s kinda common sense to say that we need to reduce or eliminate negativity in our life, but how do we do it? The first thing to do is to identify WHAT these kinds of negative mental attitudes are. Here are 7 that you can and you must do away to have a happier, better life:

1. Perfectionism

Literally nothing will ever be perfect, ever. And no person ever achieved their vision 100% the way they wanted to get it. Don’t let your perfect ideals stop you from doing the actual work.

2. Other People’s Judgment

People will judge – that’s just human nature. You cannot stop it, no matter what you do. There will be some true and honest judgment, and there will be some unfair ones. Don’t let any of these influence or distract you.

3. Self-Doubt

Judging yourself and casting doubt on your ability to get stuff done is even more debilitating. Don’t let it take over your life and kill it at the root.

4. Worst Case Scenario Mindset

It’s always good to plan for contingency and to not be too optimistic… But there needs to be a healthy balance between optimism and pessimism.

Worrying changes nothing except your health and mental state. To reduce or eliminate worrying, convert all your energy into action!

6. Complaining

When you choose to focus only on the bad, then you’re really setting yourself up for disappointment. Before finding something to complain, find something you can compliment on first.

7. Trying to Control Everything

Being a hands-on type of person is one thing, but you can only control too much of one situation. There are things that you have to let go of and entrust to someone, hoping that everything will eventually fall into place.
